What happened to the death notices in the bulletin? Why do we need to be a member to find out who died?

To Mr. Keating. I know we are all frustrated with this situation. However, what did you want RTAC to do? The CTPF has the money and couldn't figure out how to send it out. The banks, who do plenty of business on the weekends but do not deal with those of us in the less-than-$1B range, aren't going to help and post payments on a weekend. The CTPF descends into chaos and has no idea how to get pension payments to retirees over the weekend. Really, there was nothing RTAC could have done to move the resolution of this problem along. Even RTAC cannot counter a chaotic pension fund and unmotivated banks. Just sayin'.

The CTPF has, as Desi used to say to Lucy, lots of splaining to do. First, they did not have redundant procedures in place to prevent the initial failure. Second, their emails and phone messages, which did not seem to reach many retirees, were full of conflicting information and directions.

Chase retirees did not get their monies credited on Saturday. (Why the CTPF thought that Chase would post anything for their customers on the weekend is beyond me.) Those who called ahead for their paper checks, then told not to come in to the CTPF, are now told they do indeed have to come in or ask for it to be mailed (another delay) since they will not get their direct deposit. But if they do, don't use it since it will be rescinded. A totally chaotic, worrisome weekend that was simply not necessary if the CTPF had had a plan. No plan. Apologies are not enough. A detailed explanation is indeed necessary.

I agree with Mr. Kincade that RTAC is good at passing on important information IF you can find it on the poorly organized, hard to use home page. The reason you may not see many posts (nothing from May to August???) is that the guestbook often blocks comments and simply does not work very well. Too bad none of the above sem to be fixable.

Another misstep by the CTPF who stated that all Chase retirees will receive their credited checks by Saturday. More confusion over the chaos on Friday. We deserve an detailed explanation about this major issue.

You home page states that you cannot help with the pension chek delay. Not an acceptable statement. You can at least TRY.
