Comments: I wish the new Friends Gone Ahead pages also contained a column indicating the deceased's last position (teacher, AP, principal, etc.
Does RTAC have a blast email system whereby those who are signed up (provide their email address) get messages of recent legislative action or warning/announcement of pending legislative action that would benefit by our (members') letters, phone calls, emails, etc. to the governor, mayor, legislators?

Comments: Please use the power of 11,000 members to protect our pension. Why haven't we received any electronic action alerts? Don't make us log onto the RTAC web site in order to learn what we must do.
Do you need someone to actually write the action alerts and to disperse them. Just ask.

Comments: I am very frustrated at this point and don't know what else to do. Perhaps you can help me.
I called the Chicago Teachers Union on three occassions to request membership in the Retired Teachers Chapter of the CTU. Each time I spoke with someone I was told that an application, a union calendar book, and a newsletter would be sent out to me right away. It was been three months, and as of this writing, I have not heard a word. What am I doing wrong? Help! I really would like to be a part of this. I was a CTU member for all the years before I retired--over 30 years.
